Terms of Service

1. Who we are

MyChaperon (mychaperon.ai) is operated by Agentic Tech LLC (“we”, “us”, the “platform”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy and Refund Policy, which together form the agreement between us.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old. MyChaperon™ is strictly for adults.
• You may hold one account, created with accurate information about yourself.
• You may not use the service if we previously removed you for violating these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.

3. The service: introductions, chaperoned

MyChaperon™ is an introductions platform, not solely a dating service. It serves five intents, and you choose which apply to you:

• Professional — business contacts and working relationships.
• Interests — hobbies, activities and shared passions.
• Friendship — platonic company, explicitly not romantic.
• Long-term — serious, relationship-minded introductions.
• Casual — casual romantic or physical introductions.

Intent is a hard filter. You are only ever introduced to someone under an intent you both hold, and every introduction records the intent it was made under. That frame is fixed: it is not to be renegotiated inside the introduction. Romantic or sexual advances within a Professional, Interests or Friendship introduction are a violation of our Acceptable Use Policy and may result in removal.

Every paid plan requires identity verification. Escorted and Guarded members must complete an identity check through Stripe Identity (a photo ID and a live selfie). Your subscription begins as soon as you pay, but introductions remain locked until that check passes. Free accounts are not verified and are limited accordingly. You may retry verification as often as you need; if you cannot complete it and no longer want the subscription, contact us and we will refund it — see the Refund Policy. Verification may not be available at all times, and we may change these requirements.

Casual introductions are additionally gated — the Casual pool requires a paid plan (and therefore a verified identity). We may change or withdraw this gate.

Every member gets a personal AI Chaperon — an AI agent that learns your values, boundaries and intents, interviews people who approach you, proposes introductions, and supervises early conversations. The depth of its interview varies by intent: a Professional introduction is screened briskly, a Long-term or Casual one far more thoroughly. Its purpose is your safety and guidance.

An AI Chaperon is assistive, not infallible. It is built on large language models and can misjudge people, miss warning signs, or make mistakes. Its interviews, verdicts and fit summaries are recommendations — you always make the final decision about who to talk to and who to meet, and you remain responsible for those decisions.

We do not conduct criminal background checks. We do not verify the identity of members except where a member has completed our identity-verification process, and a verified identity confirms only that a real, matching person holds the account — it is not a character reference or a safety guarantee. Never rely on the platform as a substitute for your own judgment and ordinary caution — meet in public, tell someone where you are going, and never send money to someone you met here (asking members for money is a bannable offence — report it).

We make no promise that you will receive introductions, matches, meetings, contacts, friendships or a relationship. We promise honest effort and a safety-first design, not outcomes.

4. Accounts and sign-in

Sign-in is passwordless: we email a one-time PIN to your address. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure and for all activity on your MyChaperon™ account. Tell us immediately at hello@mychaperon.ai if you believe your account has been compromised.

5. Subscriptions and billing

• Plans and prices are shown at /pricing. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.
• Paid plans renew automatically (monthly or yearly) until you cancel. Cancel any time from your dashboard; your plan stays active until the end of the period already paid for.
• If a renewal payment fails we may retry it and will notify you; continued failure downgrades your account to the free plan.
• We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice; changes apply from your next renewal, never retroactively.
• Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy.

6. Community equity programme

Every member receives a referral link. When people in your referral network — up to five levels deep — pay for a subscription, half of the platform’s net receipts from that payment are shared across the network: level 1 (the subscriber’s direct referrer) receives 25% of the net payment, level 2 receives 12.5%, level 3 6.25%, level 4 3.75% and level 5 2.5%. Where an upline level does not exist, that share is retained by the platform.

• This is a voluntary revenue-share, not employment. Participation creates no employment, agency, partnership or franchise relationship, and it is not an investment or a security. Joining costs nothing and earns nothing by itself — commissions arise only when people in your network choose to pay for subscriptions.
• No income is guaranteed or typical. Most members should expect to earn little or nothing. You must never present the programme as a job, salary, passive income, or guaranteed earnings when sharing your link.
• Payouts require a Stripe Express account in your name and are triggered by the platform. You are responsible for any taxes on amounts you receive.
• Earnings obtained through fraud — fake accounts, self-referral schemes, stolen payment methods, or misleading promotion — are void, and we may cancel pending commissions and terminate the accounts involved.
• If a subscription payment is refunded or charged back, the commissions created by that payment are reversed.
• We may modify or discontinue the programme prospectively at any time; commissions already earned on completed payments are unaffected.

7. Your content and your Chaperon’s memory

• You own what you tell the platform about yourself. You grant us the licence needed to operate the service — to store your information, let your Chaperon use it, and show other members only what the service is designed to show them.
• Facts your Chaperon remembers are private by default. Only facts explicitly marked shareable can be revealed to prospective dates or used in Chaperon-to-Chaperon matching. See the Privacy Policy.
• Conversations with Chaperons and supervised chats are processed by AI (including third-party AI providers acting on our instructions) to provide the service, including its safety monitoring.

8. Acceptable use

The Acceptable Use Policy is part of these Terms. In short: be an adult, be yourself, treat people with respect, never ask members for money, and do not attempt to manipulate or extract private information from any Chaperon.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this agreement, create risk for other members, or abuse the community-equity programme — with notice where practicable, immediately where safety requires it. Sections that by their nature survive termination (including 6, 10 and 11) survive it.

10. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that AI screening will identify every dishonest or dangerous person, or that members are who they claim to be. You interact with other members at your own risk.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Agentic Tech LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for the conduct of any member on or off the platform. Our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; where the law grants you rights that cannot be waived, those rights are unaffected.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Agentic Tech LLC is organised, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before bringing a formal claim, contact us at hello@mychaperon.ai — most issues can be resolved quickly and informally.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. For material changes we will notify you (in-app or by email) at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
