Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

Agentic Tech LLC operates mychaperon.ai and is the data controller for the personal information described here. Questions and requests: hello@mychaperon.ai.

2. What we collect

• Account data — name, email address, and sign-in activity (we use emailed one-time PINs; there are no passwords).
• Profile data — display name, age, gender (and, if you choose “other”, any description you give), who you would like to meet, location, bio, your intents (Professional, Interests, Friendship, Long-term, Casual) and your preferences and boundaries. Some of this is sensitive by nature — your intents and who you wish to meet can reveal sexual orientation, while a Professional intent reveals little. You choose what to provide, and we process it only to run the service you signed up for.
• Profile photos — images and clips you upload, and any you generate with credits. They are stored on our cloud storage and shown to members your Chaperon introduces you to; your primary photo also appears on your public Chaperon page. Deleting a photo removes it from your profile. Generation prompts are stored alongside the image.
• Identity verification data — if you verify your identity, the check is performed by Stripe Identity. You submit your document and selfie directly to Stripe, which processes and retains those images under its own terms. In our own systems we store only the outcome (verified, pending or failed), the date, and Stripe’s session identifier — we do not copy your document or selfie images into MyChaperon™’s database. Authorised staff may be able to view a verification result in the Stripe dashboard where needed to resolve a dispute or investigate fraud. Stripe processes this biometric and identity data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy. Identity verification is required for every paid plan (Escorted and Guarded) and is not required on the Free plan, where it is optional and unavailable.
• Chaperon memories — facts your Chaperon learns about you. Every memory is private by default and stays between you and your Chaperon unless you explicitly mark it shareable.
• Conversations — your chats with your Chaperon, interviews your Chaperon conducts with people interested in you, and supervised chats between members (which are, by design, monitored by the Chaperons for safety).
• Billing data — handled by Stripe. We store your plan, payment amounts and Stripe identifiers, never your card details.
• Referral network data — who invited whom (up to five levels), and community-equity earnings, as needed to operate the revenue share.
• Usage data — basic analytics such as page views of your public Chaperon page and an anonymous visitor identifier used to understand the signup funnel. Visitor emails in sampled onboarding transcripts are redacted before storage.

3. How we use it

• To run your Chaperon: remembering you, screening people who approach you, proposing introductions under an intent you both hold, and supervising early chats.
• To match: Chaperon-to-Chaperon matching uses your intents, preferences and only your shareable facts. Intent is applied as a hard filter — you are never surfaced to someone who does not share it.
• For safety: supervised chats are analysed for signs of scams, pressure, abuse, and conduct that breaches the intent of the introduction; reports are reviewed.
• To bill subscriptions and calculate and pay community-equity commissions.
• To send transactional email (sign-in PINs, receipts, introduction notifications). We do not sell your data and we do not send third-party marketing.

4. AI processing

Chaperons are powered by large language models from Anthropic, processed via API under terms that do not permit your conversations to be used to train their models. Interview verdicts and match suggestions are AI-generated recommendations; no introduction happens without a human decision — the member always accepts or declines.

5. What other people can see

• Visitors to your public Chaperon page can talk to your Chaperon, which reveals only your shareable facts — never your contact details, address, workplace, schedule or anything marked private.
• When your Chaperon proposes an introduction, each side sees the Chaperon’s summary written for them, built from shareable information and the interview itself.
• Your referrer can see that you joined through their link (not your activity).

6. Who we share data with

Service providers acting on our instructions: Stripe (payments and payouts), Anthropic (AI processing), Google Cloud Storage (photo hosting), our email relay (transactional email delivery), and our hosting infrastructure. We disclose information where the law requires it, or where necessary to investigate fraud or protect someone’s safety.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. Deleting your account removes your profile, Chaperon, memories and conversations; billing and commission records are retained as long as tax and accounting law requires. To delete your account, use your dashboard settings or email hello@mychaperon.ai.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and CCPA-style laws) you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. Email us and we will honour valid requests within the statutory timeframe. You will never be discriminated against for exercising them.

9. Cookies and local storage

We use strictly necessary cookies for sign-in sessions and a small amount of local storage (such as the anonymous visitor id on the homepage). We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

10. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted, and payment handling is delegated to Stripe. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will notify you as the law requires.

11. Age

MyChaperon™ is for adults 18+. We do not knowingly process minors’ data; accounts found to belong to minors are deleted.

12. Changes

We will notify you of material changes to this policy before they take effect. The date at the top is always the current version.
